2024 L.A. Zoo Lights Sweepstakes

OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. HERE’S HOW TO ENTER: A Zoo Lights Sweepstakes(“Sweepstakes”) begins at 12:01 AM Pacific Standard Time (“PST”) on November 27, 2024 and ends at 5:00 PM PST on December 17, 2024 (“Sweepstakes Period”). There are 2 ways to enter:
   
   a. In-Store: Visit Sweepstakes-Offer.com (“website”) and click on the “Registration” tab. Fill in the Official Registration form. A valid Official Registration entry must include name, email address, confirmation registrant is 18 years of age or older, telephone number.

   b. Mail-in: On a plain piece of 3” x 5” paper, hand print your complete name, email address, age, daytime and evening telephone numbers, including area code (optional; if you do not have a telephone, indicate “No Phone.”). Mail-in entries must be in a hand addressed, business-size (#10) envelope with first-class postage affixed to:

   All mail-in entries must be postmarked no later than December 12, 2024 and received by December 16, 2024. Limit of one (1) entry per stamped envelope.  Electronic entries must be submitted before 5:00 PM of December 3, 10, 27, 2024 (“Entry Period”). Mail-in entries will be included in the Entry Period based on the date received. Incomplete entries are void. Limit one (1) entry per household, regardless of method of entry, during each Entry Period. Failure to comply with this or any other Official Rule will result in disqualification.  Official Rules available in-store upon request and online at www.Sweepstakes-Offer.com.

   Entrants must have access to Internet, an Internet-capable device and a valid e-mail address. Standard data charges may apply if participating through a mobile device. Data rates may apply for each message sent or received from a device according to the terms and conditions of Participant’s service agreement with their wireless carrier if accessing or entering the Sweepstakes through a mobile device. Other charges may apply and may appear on a mobile phone bill or be deducted from a prepaid account balance. Wireless carriers’ rate plans may vary, and Participants are encouraged to contact their wireless carrier for more information on messaging rate plans and charges relating to the participation and entry in the Sweepstakes. Mobile device service may not be available in all areas. Sponsor and Promotional Participants (further defined below) are not responsible for any charges incurred by entrants submitting an official registration form electronically.

2. RANDOM DRAWING: A total of Twenty-five (25) winners (each, a “Winner” or “Winners”) will be selected in three (3) separate random drawings. Nine (9) winners will be selected at the first drawing on or about December 4, 2024 and eight (8) winners will be selected in each drawing on or about December 13 and 18, 2024 (“Drawing Dates”). Limit of one (1) winner per person/household. Odds of winning a Prize will depend upon the total number of eligible entries received at time of drawing. Winners will be notified by phone and email by The Remington Group. If Winner is unreachable, or if Winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate Winner may be selected at random from all remaining eligible entries received for that Entry Period. When Winners are contacted via email, Winner will be given instructions on how to claim their tickets and pick a date for the event. Sponsor is not responsible for Prize once email has been sent.  All Prizes are estimated to be fulfilled to Winners by December 28, 2024.  Decisions of The Remington Group as judges are final.

3. PRIZES & ACTUAL RETAIL VALUES: There will be Twenty-five (25) Winners. Each Winner will receive Four (4) L.A. Zoo Lights tickets, valid through January 5, 2025 (“Prize” or “Prizes”).  Estimated Retail Value (“ERV”) of each Prize is One Hundred Forty and 00/100 Dollars ($140.00). Total ERV of all Prizes is Three Thousand Five Hundred and 00/100 Dollars ($3,500.00)

4. OTHER EXPENSES: It is the responsibility of the Winner to comply with all local state and federal tax laws pertaining to acceptance of the Prize. No substitution or transfer of Prizes or cash equivalent is permitted.

5. ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open only to individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the beginning of the Sweepstakes Period (i.e., by 11/27/24) and legal United States residents, residing in California (the “eligible area”). Employees of Stellar Jones Inc., dba: Stellar Marketing Solutions (“Sponsor”),  the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association (“GLAZA”), the City of Los Angeles Department of the Zoo (“Prize Provider”), Big Saver Foods, Jon’s Marketplace or Super King Market,   Remington Sales and Marketing  LLC dba: The Remington Group (collectively, “Sponsor, Prize Provider and Promotional Participants” ) and each of their  respective affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and suppliers involved in this promotion and their immediate family members (mother, father, sister, brother, husband, wife, daughter, son) and/or those living in the same household are not eligible. Void outside of the eligibility area and where prohibited by law and subject to all federal, state and local laws and ordinances.

6. Publicity Release: By registering for this Sweepstakes, registration constitutes permission to the Sponsor and its Promotional Participants to use winner’s name and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.

7. GENERAL: Sponsor, Prize Provider and Promotional Participants are not responsible for lost, late, damaged, delayed, incomplete, mutilated, misdirected entries or entries not received by the entry deadline(s), or for electronic, QR Code, telephone, hardware, software, network data transmission errors or computer/scanner failures or malfunctions, or other technical errors of any kind. No substitution, cash redemption or transfer of Prize by Winner permitted. All applicable federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of Winner. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Any and all costs and fees not specifically included in Prize description are the responsibility of the Prize Winners. All materials submitted become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Return of any Prize/Prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and an alternate winner selected, time permitting. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute Prize of equal or greater value.  All Prizes are nontransferable, non-assignable, nonnegotiable, and are not redeemable for cash or credit. Acceptance of Prize constitutes permission to the Sponsor, Prize Provider and its Promotional Participants to use winner’s name and/or likeness for purposes of advertising and trade without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.  By accepting Prize, Winner agrees to indemnify, release and hold harmless Sponsor, Prize Provider and Promotional Participants, including without limitation, each of their respective, agents, representatives, directors, officers, employees and assigns, against any and all claims, damages, losses, expenses and liability arising out of acceptance or use of Prize.  Entrants assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this Sweepstakes or the acceptance or use of any Prize. By participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing, the offering or the announcement of any Prize or in the administration of the Sweepstakes and reserve the right to correct errors in promotional materials. Decisions of Sponsor will be final.

8. WINNERS LIST: For names of winners, available after January 28, 2025, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped (#10) envelope to: “L.A. Zoo Lights Sweepstakes” Winner’s List, PO Box 6407, Garden Grove, CA 92846.

9. GOVERNING LAW: The Sweepstakes shall be governed by California law.  By submitting an Official Entry, entrants hereby agree that the sole and exclusive jurisdiction and venue for any causes of actions or controversies arising out of the Sweepstakes shall be the state of federal court located in the County of Los Angeles, California courts. Each entrant hereby waives any and all objections to the jurisdiction and venue of these courts.

10. FORCE MAJEURE: The failure of Sponsor to comply with any provision of these Official Rules due to an act of God, hurricane, war, fire, riot, earthquake, terrorism, act of public enemies, actions of governmental authorities outside of the control of either (excepting compliance with applicable codes and regulations) or other force majeure event will not be considered a breach of these Official Rules.
